Good Pizzas and burrata !! The space is a bit cramped but the pizza is very good! Must go for thin crust lover!!
I had dinner on a Friday night at 170 Grammi and the experience was beyond what a friend of mine recommended.
We had pizzas and pastas to share, the food was amazing especially the porchetta pizza and the special pasta carbonara. Special mention to the team and their manager Alex very welcoming and available on accepting our requests. Also we tried their “sip happen” and “yuzu kidding me” cocktails and were so good. I will be back for sure!

170grammi is our go to for a catch up with friends (& the children) all the staff are so friendly and accommodating we have a lot of “requests” that are always met with a smile. The food is standout both the adults and children always leave with full, happy bellies. The music is always pumping creating a great atmosphere, if you are lucky the staff dance too! We love 170grammi, especially Alessandra and Sara who always make us feel like we are at home. 🍕😍👌🏽
170 Grammi Pizza is honestly one of my absolute favourites! The pizza is always so fresh, flavourful, and perfectly made - you can really taste the quality. Every time I go, it never disappoints.
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is warm, and perfect for catching up with friends or just enjoying a relaxed meal.
And their specials? So good. Always exciting and totally worth trying.

The pizza was delicious!! The waiter in the white shirt, Laurens, was especially friendly and nice.🥰
After my recent culinary exorcism at a neighbouring pizzeria, namely Via Napoli - which I don’t recommend - I approached 170 Grammi Pizzeria with trepidation. My faith in pizza had been shaken, my digestive system remained traumatized, and I wasn’t entirely convinced the priest had done what he promised.
Then the pizza arrived. Miracles do happen. Crispy, light, perfectly cooked and unmistakably authentic. My sphincter, still suffering PTSD from its previous double shift after the Via Napoli debacle, was finally permitted to relax.
By the second slice, I realised I hadn’t lost faith in my native cuisine. 170 Grammi is, without question, the best pizza I’ve had in Surry Hills and quite possibly the best in Sydney. Proper Roman style pizza, exceptional ingredients and proof that authenticity is, in fact, still available in 2026.
Five stars. Would happily risk eternal damnation for another pizza at 170 Grammi.

The pizza and pasta is exceptional. Been here more than five times and the food is very consistent throughout. The only issue of this place is the service can be a bit slow even though it’s not that busy. They have fixed a lot of issues with seating. I highly recommend people can try to if you can get the Eatclub discount it is even better.
Authentic and fantastic thin crust pizzas and food. Enjoyed the entree special - fresh and balanced alongside the red and white based pizzas.
The kids pizza also surprised us with its size and shape - fun!
Service was great, only thing I’d prefer next time was not being seated at the first table amidst the passing pedestrian traffic and shop entry at the very front. Thankfully winter sun and the weekend lunch hour still made it pleasant enough.

This is my go to restaurant for pizza in Sydney. I've tried many other places, but I always end up back here. The pizza is simply delicious and crunchy, made with the best ingredients and amazing flavors. The Gamberi pizza was incredibly tasty, and the tiramisu is absolutely the best.
Everything is perfect. We will come back.
We were with my partner looking for some great gluten-free pizza and we found it!. Beautiful and really amazing flavours. The pizza size, thin dough and crispy crust. Service was nice and welcoming. Thanks to the girl who was at the front (we were walk-ins but they gave us a table without problem.), also Alessandra our waitress was very lovely too. Thank you for the nice experience. We would return for sure.
The burrata à la romana special is spectacular, and the pizza A coda delicious. Favourite thin and crunchy pizza crust in Surry Hills. Service is top notch.

Came to this place recently and really enjoyed it. I had the A Coda pizza which was delicious - I would have liked the crust to be a bit more larger and fluffy, but it was still excellent.
They do gluten free pasta and pizza too.
Seated outside but under a shelter and warm. Service was excellent too. Wine was very reasonably priced too - cheapest was $11 a glass.
